Wooden staircases

We build staircases from solid timber: self-supporting structures and timber cladding for concrete stairs. Always made to measure, after we have surveyed the site.

  • Structural stairs in solid timber — stringer, open-tread and winder
  • Concrete staircases clad in wood
  • Turned, spindle and modern stainless steel balustrades
  • Treads, risers, landings and handrails
  • On-site survey, manufacture and installation
Curved solid wood staircase treads

A staircase is visible from everywhere in the house, and it is hard to put right afterwards. So we begin with a survey and with settling how the stairs are to sit alongside the floor and the rest of the joinery.

We make traditional forms, with turned spindles and a moulded handrail, and plain structures with a stainless steel balustrade. Timber, stain and finish are agreed when the order is placed.
